Pursuit of Career #3
As each day passes, a global epidemic continues to become larger and more devastating. This dilemma affects the entire population, yet some are still unaware of the serious consequences. The condition of our environment is a controversial issue that will be detrimental to the future of our society. Preserving the environment is necessary to stop global warming, species extinction, reduction of air/water quality, and environmental degradation...Well damn, that's seriously seriousness. I'll be honest, I'm not gonna sit here and type away about how much of an environmental Superman I am (leave that for "All Star Stan and "Keep it Clean Jean"), but I believe that in modern society, much more could be done to support the eco-friendly movement. So recently, I've been pondering a future in Environmental Law. This field of study appeals to me for two reasons. First, I want to be involved in the preservation of our environment. Second, suing large corporate companies for millions of dollars sounds like fun (Although my last blog post was about becoming a wealthy business man). In all seriousness, One day WHEN the world is no longer plagued with environmental issues (yes I am incredibly optimistic), I want to be able to say that I contributed to saving the world and ultimately, creating a better future for generations to come.

Rei! I honestly disagree that you are an environmental Superman! You are truly an incredibly optimistic and actually an All Star Stan! Not only are you the ecology club VP, but you go above and beyond and be that Superman that Westmont needs! I can totally see you protecting our environment and suing all those companies! Good luck in your endeavors!
ReplyDeleteA while ago I also wanted to be involved with environmental law too! As vice president Westmont High School's ecology club, I can see the start of your possible future career. I had the opportunity of helping out with one of the recycling days, and it made me realize how bad our school is at conserving the environment. I admire your leadership role in picking up trash as you see it, and helping others do so after school on your own time. Be a new environmental superhero that Sheldon would want to be ;) Good luck Rei!
ReplyDeleteThis post is one of my favorites. From what you wrote on your last post, I can bet Marshall Erickson inspired you!haha. Anyways, I'm really glad you're stepping up to the plate and ready to take action for something a lot of people don't consider a big deal. It is also nice to see someone interested in a career for a greater cause rather than what suits them best. If you really choose this career, the future generations will be forever in your debt.
ReplyDeleteRei, its great to see that some people really care about the environment and I agree with Jeff when he says that you are the environmental superman for many reasons, one being that you are a dedicated member of the ecology club. I can definitely see you excel in this career and earn a name for yourself, good luck and spread your optimism around the world!
